A Simple hold’em strategy discussion

Let’s have a simple hold’em strategy discussion.   Ok so Hold’em is a fairly simple game to play right.  Once you have gotten your feet wet with this game you want to get a hold’em strategy in place.

There are a couple types of strategies out there, but we can talk about one particular hold’em strategy right now.  Let’s talk about the pre-flop strategy for a little bit.  Ok so what does it mean this pre-flop? That’s when you have checked out your hand prior to the flop taking place in the game.  Or your pocket cards are decent enough before the first round of betting takes place and the three community cards have been turned over.  This is when you know what you are going to bet. 

If your pre-flop hand is a strong hand, then you play like its strong and when it comes time for the show down, you can get nasty with that hand then.  But it just depends on what your hold’em strategy is going to be.

If you find that the players at the table are playing passively and you have a solid hand, then depending on how much money the table is playing for and what your hold’em strategy is going to be you can use that hand to make the game more aggressive.  Of if the table is playing a bit to aggressive for you, you can play a little more passively and if you have a solid hand pre-flop you can  then do your thing come show down time. 

But it’s your hold’em strategy that’s going to work the best for you.  A few things to keep in mind though when using the pre-flop strategy.  And that is, make a note of your table, and the position that you are going to be.  That will make a difference, because if you are the last to call, it could work in your favor.  Another thing is the amount you are going to bet.  Make sure that you don’t overreach.  If you aren’t planning on betting large, then don’t.  If you’re more concerned about how much you are betting over your planned amount, you’re not going to play your hold’em strategy very well. 

Remember that poker is a game of risks.  If you are risk taker than your hold’em strategy will reflect that.  If you are more pensive that will show too unless you are a very good bluffer.  Either way, remember to be responsible when gambling.  In everything use moderation.

Texas Hold’em Strategies

Is there anyone out there who has tried these Texas hold’em strategies and they have worked for them?  I’m talking about the ones posted by all these different poker players.  Now I’m fairly new to the net work of the Texas Hold’em game so I’m learning as I go.  But I wonder if all these sites that are giving you Texas hold’em strategies really work.

I mean has anyone taken some of these sites on and proven them.  I’ve read some sites that offer you Texas hold’em strategies and say that if you use their strategy it will improve your profit margin by 110%.  Do you know what that means for me?  I’m going to go from making a profit of zero to $110 just by using their strategies.  Am I tempted?  Heck yeah!!!  Wouldn’t you be?  Several of these sites are offering this up for free.  And while I’m tempted to try it I just don’t know.  I mean I’m going to end up with a lot of stuff downloaded to my laptop. 

I found a few more sites that do duel offerings.  They offer Texas hold’em strategies and then a Texas hold’em game.  Hey now that I think about it, I guess that’s so I can try out their strategy.  Duh!!!!  Yeah I know I guess I am kind of slow huh?  But seriously, that’s a pretty good deal and the game is free.  I could try it out and see how well I do. 

I’m not a real big risk taker so sometimes it takes me a little longer to do things.  I guess I could download the game and see how effective the Texas hold’em strategies I come across work.  If they are useful and I win enough pretend money, maybe I’ll become a risk taker.  It’s a long way from playing the game on a computer to actually going into a casino and playing a game of Texas hold’em with a group of people.  I mean I’m not a good bluffer at all.  I have a tell, I’m not sure what it is, but I’ve got one.  I’m pretty sure that’s not going to be good or profitable for me in a live Texas hold’em game.

While I may be a chicken about this or should I say, while I’m less inclined to risk actual money on these Texas hold’em strategies that I found, maybe you are.  If you happen to get up enough courage to try them out, somebody let me know how it goes.  For now, I’m just going to try my Texas hold’em strategies out in a Texas hold’em game online, with pretend money.

Getting Texas hold’em lessons

Well I decided that I wanted to play Texas hold’em, but I didn’t know how and reading all the books didn’t help me understand the concept one bit.  It didn’t help me come up with a strategy that I could use to assist me in winning.  It didn’t even turn the tables in my favor at a game.  So I thought what about getting some Texas hold’em lessons?  That might actually work.

So I decided to look for the interactive one’s first.  My last resort for Texas hold’em lesson would actually be a living breathing human being.  But it would be my very last choice.  So I found a couple of sites on line that will allow you to play Texas hold’em.  Most of them provide Texas hold’em lessons.  Of course almost all of them are pushing some kind of product.  Read my testimonials, check out my video’s where former students will come on and back the program 100%.  You may find some sites with people stating how much money the won because of receiving Texas hold’em lessons from them. 

While most of the interactive sites may come at a small fee, you should still take a moment to look into those that look good.  Those that don’t look like they are going to offer you any kind of useful information for your Texas hold’em lessons, make sure to bypass.  You don’t want to waist your time looking at something that’s not going to be beneficial to your progress.  And you definitely want to make sure that the Texas hold’em lessons will actually work. 

Your goal is to learn as much as you can, develop a solid strategy and then put those strategies into place.  You want to find a site that will allow you the ability to become interactive with some assistance when you are moving in the wrong direction; this will help you develop the proper strategies so that you can be successful.  As I stated early though, when you are talking about finding Texas hold’em lessons, they might not be free.  But it’s going to be worth taking the time and money to invest in making your strategies successful.  You can always use your winnings to cover whatever you put out in order to take the lessons.

It never hurts to have too much information.  Make sure that when you are going through your Texas hold’em lessons that you are paying attention and making notes.  Once you have your strategy in place, it’s time for you to start playing the game.
